Since kilts are “single width” and most fabric comes “double width,” tartan orders leave behind remnant fabric (in fact, so do our other styles). I don’t believe in wasting fabric, so here are some of the products that can be made out of these:

Flashes–$15
Prince Kilt–$35-$45
Lady Kilt–$55
Another King Kilt–$55

Note the two adult second kilt options will both require most, if not all, of the remnant.

Also, you can request the remnant fabric as-is, such as to use as a fly plaid, which we don’t make. Price is $15 per yard with the first half yard free when you purchase the entire length (typically four yards of a single width remnant.)

Depending on the length of your initial order, some combination may be possible. Let us know what you’re interested in and we’ll go over the possibilities in your case.

I also have a few remnant fabrics on hand that may work for your project, including a light weight Stewart hunting in poly-cotton and a royal Stewart in discount plaid.

You may also check with the Scottish Weaver to see if they have any remnants. Just remember the cut has to be at least four yards for most sizes and that we would charge another $55 on top of their price to have it made into a kilt.
