While our regular kilts are made for and intended for men and will not be knowingly sold to be worn by a woman, we do have an option for women. A Lady’s Kilt (also known as a hostess kilt) is mid-calf in length, tailored to the female form, and close on the left instead of the right. Otherwise, the standard features are the same.
Ladies, you will need to include your hip measurements as well as waist and length (to mid-calf or longer please!) For a best fit, the distance between hips and waistline is also encouraged but not required. The minimum length is 25 inches.
Ladies kilts are available in all styles that our regular kilts come in. Though typically ordered in tartan, pricing for a Lady’s Kilt is the same as for a King Kilt.
A nonstandard feature specific to a Lady’s kilt is no pleats and typically will require around two yards of fabric, which in some cases (ie tartan) will lower the price significantly.
